This art is from a memory from years ago that has stuck with me. My niece wandered around the yard with her eyes to the ground. Gathering fallen leaves of every shape and size, squiggly mushrooms, rough stones, shiny pebbles, dandelions, teeny tiny daisies, wishies, and pokey sticks. She carefully arranged all of these treasures into little clusters and named each little one. A family portrait.

About The Process

I love working with both traditional and digital mediums. Either way, all of my art starts out with a very rough and tiny pencil sketch. From there I refine the outlines of the art at the final size until I’m happy with the underdrawing. My favorite parts of the process are playing with color and layering in all the pattern details.
